For a start stop the binge drinking and smoking, the damage may have not been done yet so you still might have time to improve your health to improve the baby’s health, make sure u are willing to deal with the extra stress with a baby on the way at uni, and if u are really worried speak to ur local doctor

I’ll make it easy.
1) Call/see your doctor/obgyn/midwife
2) Go to an AA meeting (Alcoholics Anonymous) if you CANNOT stop drinking
3) Stop smoking
4) Stop being selfish, this baby is #1 priority now
Just do not smoke or drink from here on out. Using could cause low birth weight, mental retardation, and behavior problems in a child at birth or later in life….I shoudl know because I work with these kids and their families for a living.

it seems like you don’t have a problem with drinking or smoking, you just happened to be doing that for a few weeks and found out you were pregnant yesterday. i think if something bad was going to happen, it would have happened already. but tell your doctor that you are worried that the alcohol over the past couple weeks could harm the baby (don’t be afraid of him looking down upon you, you did NOT know and this happens with almost every girl that drinks, he probably hears it ALL the time) as long as you stopped and you are seeking medical attention to make sure all is good, i think the dr. would really respect the fact that you came out and told him all that and looking for ways to help yourself and your baby. if you need help stopping, ask the doctor for suggestions on what you can do.
