say if you sit down and drink ten shots in a row or something, can you get liver damage, or even liver disease? or does it develop from heavy drinking over time? this is either a good question , or i sound really stupid.

Yes binge drinking one time can do excessive damage to your liver, seeing as how much alcohol you are putting into your system and the pressure you are putting on your system.

A binge drinking session will damage your liver but it will recover in a day or two with no permanent damage. Frequent binge sessions will lead to liver damage and disease. It can take as little as 10 years drinking more than 4 standard drinks per day to cause liver disease which can not be fixed except with a transplant (which drinkers won’t be given).
