Drug Rehabilitation, quick and easy
does liqor or drugs get rid of inhibition!!?
Question by ~ B E L L A ~: does liqor or drugs get rid of inhibition!!?
constant social anxiety and shyness. leads me to really bad depression for a long time and suicide choices! would any drug or alcohol get rid of this so i can have my dreams come true and have friends?? what are the negative effects on drugs/booze? does ANY product get rid of shyness each time used?
counceling/therapy does NOT work! I DO IT but those morons force me to just talk to all the (devils) at school. its HARD when your possibly aspie. i dont trust schoolmates they HATE me. that doesnt help one bit things got worse all b/c.
my only solution is a quick fix consuming shots, otherwise ill always be depressed & not get what i want. being this way feels horrible but nobody REALLY knows WHAT ITS LIKE to be alone 24/7 in guilt & anguish.
just tell me which consumable things (without bad alcohol effects) work to combat effects of my sociopath genes! no USELESS counceling!!! ive done it, it doesnt help!

Alcohol and drugs will get rid of it……For a while, then the anxiety will come back twice as bad. Do you really want to become and alcoholic o’r drug addict? That’s the main problem of going down this route.

I agree with Celt. Things will seem great while drunk or high but when you come down you will realize that the problems are still there. You will feel that drugs/alcohol is the way to put you in a better place so therefore you will do them more often thus leading to various other problems.
My suggestion to get ride of shyness would be to not give a F* what others think of you. Be yourself. If they see you for who you are and like it, then they are a true friend. Never be fake or change for others.
You sound like you are in High School. If so, just wait to college. You will find other with similar interest and are having the same problem.
Good luck

alcohol will release your inhabitions but it will also cause you to not be yourself while drunk. you might do things you seriously regret while under the infuluence and then you will be left to deal with the consequences when your back to your normal self with anxietys

I would not do either one because they are just temporary.

Alcohol or Street Drugs are not the way to go. The after effects will cause further problems, especially when they are psychological issues. Here’s what you should consider:
1) Get a new doctor:
There are good psychs and bad ones out there, just like any profession. Try a different one who doesnt use counselling but is experienced and recommended in the field of medication.
2) Consider meds:
As above, once you have a trustworthy doc, get some solid advice on LEGAL drugs that can help your problems 10x more effectively. Sometimes these feelings can make you think you’re the only one going through them. Be hopeful in knowing that there’ve been others before you and they have found something that helps. Just got to find the RIGHT advice, and not some shrink who gives lipservice so he can keep you coming to his office every week and pay the hourly fee.
3) Read books and free online articles:
In this day and age, theres self help advice for just about ANYTHING. Some people may find it ‘hokey’ but there is some good advice to be had if you are willing to put some time into it. Be careful with online articles that plug a specific product or medication…. its possible that its just a marketing technique by the pharmaceutical to get you to buy their product/medication. In my research for my psych problem, ive learned that everyone is different, and there is no ONE cure that works in all cases. Give it time.
4) Seek an online/local community:
Psychological problems can make you feel isolated. Rest assured knowing that there are others going through the same issues and can shed some light on what works for them. This is probably the first thing you would want to do… go online and find other people who have social anxiety, like an online chat forum specifically for people who have the same problems as you. Slowly opening up to them could train you to become less anxious, and its always best to get reccomendations for doctors that these people have tried and gotten a positive result. Just remember that any suggestions from others about meds are handy to consider, but everyone’s body is different, so reactions to meds will be different. Of course, the final advice should come from an experienced doctor, and realize that finding the right solution is a step-by-step process that will take some time to get it just right for you.
Remember the goal is to find out what the real problem is and solve it. Sometimes medication alone, although helpful, isnt the best ‘cure’ in the long term, and requires further social therapy or diet changes. Be patient, and know that there is hope in living a normal life. Life is a beautiful gift, and it can be for you to.
