There is no difference – alcohol is percieved as a drug. Two people with an addiction to a seperate one will act extremely similar – dangerous to be around at most times because they can be violent and erratic. The reason people think there is a difference is because a drug addiction is immediatly perceived as someone who is addicted to something that is illegal and is therefore their fault and a person with an alcohol problem is a person with a problem with something legal and is therefore felt sorry for. They are both the same – only one is legal and one isn’t.
