Hello
I am a 21 year old female. I grew up in a very abusive and dysfunctional family due to an alcoholic parent’s addiction. Well anyways, to make it quick, I grew up with several mental problems due to the verbal, physical, and emotional abuse from all family members, I played the role as the “lost child.” Now all of a sudden everyone in the family seems to be acting like they all of a sudden care about me and each other, and somehow the most abusive family members are acting all nice. I must say, I am willing to forgive, but a relationship with my family is something I DO NOT want. I do not feel comfortable after all these years of mental disturbance and abuse, and I don’t feel connected to any one of them except my mother. I don’t want to speak much or be around them anymore. I have PTSD from all the domestic violence as a child, and I do believe it is quite possibly going to be a lifelong mental problem as directed by my doctor. I feel a relationship just isn’t going to work and I do not trust anyone, no matter how “nice” they act with me. Is this something normal? is it necessary to have to have a relationship just because I forgive? if anyone has any solutions please help, any answers are appreciated.

sorry forgot to add, im not saying drinking is bad just im curious (for a school assignment) as to what the ethics behind it are.
I’m not talking about a drink or two when people go out but an overload of drinks to get purposely drunk

i honestly believe that there is nothing wrong with teenage drinking, IF they r mature and know what they r getting themselves into. This is not the case for most teen drinkers. Most teens are like “YEA PARTY! lets take 10 shots and throw up everywhere, pass out and make a fool of are self’s.
If the teen is old enough, say around 16-19, and know there limits there is nothing wrong.
my friends would have some beers and watch a football game with no incidences at all.
It all depends on the teen.

%SystemRoot% is a system-wide environment variable used in Windows NT family of operating systems with value as the location of the system folder plus drive and its path. Typically, in Windows XP and later versions, it is WINDOWS and Windows 2000 uses WINNT. The further reading discusses about issues installing Windows 2000 or Server 2003 with non-default %SystemRoot% folder. While Setup, you might fail to specify the installation folder because of system/boot drive failure, however, there can be other reasons as well. As a result, you may need to reformat the original boot partition and restore from backup. The negative social and physical effects of the use of alcohol are well documented. Use of alcohol may cause: blackouts, poisoning and overdose; physical and psychological dependence; damage to vital organs; inability to learn and remember information; and psychological problems including depression, psychosis and severe anxiety. Impaired judgment and coordination resulting from the use of alcohol and drugs is associated with acquaintance assault and rape; DUI/DWI arrests; hazing; falls, drowning and other injuries; contracting sexually-transmitted diseases including AIDS; and unwanted or unplanned sexual experiences and pregnancy.
You will be in unfamiliar settings and alcohol can lead to you to make poor and unsafe judgments. Your safest decision is not to drink alcoholic beverages.
If you choose to drink, follow sensible drinking habits, including:
* not drinking on an empty stomach
* not drinking if you are feeling tired or ill
* alternating alcohol drinks with non-alcoholic drinks like water or juice
