The Best Things in Life are Free

Not everybody keeps a diary or a journal, but when it comes to internet marketing one of the best things you can do is note down all the things you have done, no matter how insignificant – making sure you put it down on paper, notebook or in a folder on the computer.

People go to the internet, with the intention of making money and that is their only intention.  This may have been okay when the Internet was in its infancy, but now the internet has matured and the fossils have been left behind.  By the fossils, I mean the people that just want to sell, sell, sell.  They dont want to help you make money, they just want to take it. One of, and if not the most important things to do today, is to help people and give them as much information as possible.  That?s right, give them the information.  That means for free! Once you have done this, they will be willing and wanting to give you their money, because they know that you are the real deal and know what you are doing is in their best interests.

I can’t emphasize strongly enough, the fact that you should give away free information, that contains great content, before you try and start to make money.  If you go on the internet and just try to sell an information product (or anything for that matter), then you are going to be very disappointed in the results.  Establishing yourself in any business is the key to success, so make sure you can create quality free products and help people. If you give away good advice and the know how of a good business, then people will want to learn more and they will come back to you, because you have already told them what they need to know and have build up a friendly relationship with them. If someone just has to pay for advice from you, then you are not going to be noticed as much as if you give away that piece of advice or knowledge.  Then they will look at your stuff with more than a glancing interest even though you are not giving away everything.

This means that you can follow up that advice, which they will want to pay you for. There is no such thing as a free lunch, but with dedication and help (that can be free), anyone can make a successful business on the internet, so the importance of the freebie is undoubtedly more important than the initial sale, especially if you build a list on the back end. Top 10 Things Not to do When Applying For a Design Job

Hello students and graduates! We get lots of job applications this time of year. In honor of graduation, I’ve crafted a little list of 10 things NOT to do when applying for a design job. This most likely applies to other design firms as well as 97 Degrees West. Enjoy!

1) DO Build a portfolio website. DO NOT email me a giant PDF. I don’t want to open it.

2) DO NOT have any broken links, “coming soon” or strange navigation.

3) DO NOT call. Mail me something cool! That way I can see your craft too.

4) DO NOT ask if “we’re hiring.” Offer to schedule a portfolio review appointment instead.

5) DO NOT pad your portfolio with freelance work just because it’s paid. It is OK just to have student work in your portfolio. Often little flyers and small freelance projects bring the quality of the portfolio down because the concept usually isn’t as thought out.

6) DO NOT feel entitled to anything. In this economy, be willing to take internships, production jobs, anything to get your foot in the door.

7) DO NOT leave your MySpace page with drunken party photos around for prospective employers to see. We will google you.

8 ) DO NOT send long rambling introductions by mail or email. State why you are right for the job, what you can offer the company, and what sets you apart from all of the other applicants in the sea.

9) DO NOT flip through your portfolio too quickly in an interview. Let your interviewer drive.

10) DO NOT have typos anywhere.

GPT Sites – Things To Check Before Joining

If you ever heard about GPT (Get Paid To: subscribe, read, click, promote, complete offers, surf etc.) projects or maybe work with them, you must know that 98-99% of them are certainly scam or will turn scam very soon. Hundreds of them!

This article will help you to identify who are scammers and who are reliable GPT sites.

How can it be? There are much people on Earth who try to make cash quickly and on the cross, and then get lost. And on the other side there are us who let them do this. Many of this sort of services appear and go every single day with your cash, even without being alive at least 1 month. So, what to do to make money and to elude getting scammed by those malicious people?

You will find below valuable tips to remember in order to work with only paying GPT sites:

1. The first and the main rule: nobody will pay you 1 dollar for clicking or $20 for completing offers. Don’t be so naif!

2. Prior to joining a GPT site, surf through search engines using its name + words like “scam” to learn more about it. If you find some negative comments and no contestations on them, think twice before joining it. See how long this GPT site exists. A long presense is a good argument it’s a paying one.

3. Look at the appearance of the site. 100% scammy GPT sites use template scripts without even changing and complementing them.

4. Unprofessional layout (low script) – the first warning that you surely deal with a scammer. Sometimes the head isn’t noticeably changed as is simply a copy of the “parent” site, or doesn’t even exists.

5. If you see many grammatical errors, it signifies that the admin didn’t even think about how his GPT service looks like. What else was he thinking about then? Maybe he was in a hurry?

6. Variances in TOS, FAQ and on the home page. Usually no one reads them, including the admin. But you should. The most frequent ones are in the site’s name, prices, upgrades to premium accounts, withdrawal terms. All these things signify that you will be clicking, promoting, reading etc. only for “promises”, not for dollars.

7. See also if the GPT site offers banners for promotion. Banners aren’t a luxe, it is a must.

8. Avoid sites with no means of communication (no forum or chat).

9. No contact with the admin, i.e. he doesn’t answer emails, questions, always off-line. Stay away.

10. The GPT site is on a 3rd level domain. Does it mean that the owner cannot at least buy his own domain and hosting? What would happen to your money then?

11. You should stay away from the sites with a lot of affiliate programs + redirect. It’s an eyesore, more than that you will be supposed to wait for tons of viruses.

12. Viruses detected on the site itself – scam without comments.

13. If the withdrawal is only acceptable by premium members, it means that the owner wouldn’t like to let you reach your minimum to withdraw.

14. If some gambling is offered on the GPT site, it is also a bad sign, not crucial but suspect. The script will allow you to win maybe some cents. Then it will decide everything for you. You can lose everything if you are absorbed too much.

15. Too long pending cashouts, frequent changes in TOS, decreasing of the clicks cost, rise of the minimum payout (if you’re already in) – the first signal that you should leave asap.

Too much work only to find a trusted GPT site?

I will not surely leave you “as is”, being in need of surfing the net for paying sites. The link in the bio will take you to the list of them. Good luck!
